~Frequently Asked Questions~
Anything you need to know about this site you should be able to find here. Including contact information if you haven't taken a look at my CV/RESUME.
Did you create this website?
Yup, for better or worse. Where did you learn your art skills?
I have been drawing since I was a little girl. School definitely helped to hone my skills. Traditional life drawing and photography in undergrad, and 3D modeling, vector art and digital painting skills in grad school.
What are your future plans for your artwork?
Currently, I'm working at Halliburton in their Technical Software Department helping to create innovative technologies. It's not exactly game design, but it is software design, and many of the things I learned in my education directly apply. I am continuing to pursue game art creation through taking on contract jobs for indie companies. Thus far, this has kept me quite satisfied as a digital artist.
Do you do commissions or contracts?
Depends on the request. But I'm always open to inquiries! Especially if it's game related. Send me an email for more info. :)
I see you have an English degree in Creative Writing, how does that fit into your life/career?
I used to write more frequently, but since I've been focusing on my art, I have less time for writing. I think the skills I learned from my degree, however, easily transfer over into the arts as well as any field. The ability to communicate effectively is a valuable asset. Being able to sell yourself verbally and on paper will come in handy in any career. Not to mention, an estute appreciation of story telling is definitely involved in the creation of games.
